Mirrored Glass

Mirrored Glass

Mirrored glass can be used as an effective decorative glass solution for many different types of spaces. The reflective surface allows light to be reflected through a space, giving the illusion of more room and creating a brighter environment.

Mirrored glass panels from London Architectural Glass are manufactured using the most modern advances in silvering technology. Modern mirrors contain almost no lead for an environmentally friendly mirrored glass installation.

A silver coating is applied to the rear side of an annealed glass panel. This silver coating reflects images and light creating a mirrored appearance.

Achieving Your Desired Finish

Toughened safety glass is not often used in mirrored glass as the process of toughening can produce distortion on the reflective face, but a safety backing can be applied to annealed mirrored glass to protect against breakage in critical areas or laminated to create a safety glass.

When used for decorative purposes, a mirrored glass panel can be produced with smooth, polished or bevelled edges to get the desired effect. Various shapes and cut outs can also be included.

A diffused reflection can be achieved by using a sandblasted or acid-etched glass panel with a mirrored coating to the back. A bronze or silver antique appearance can also be created on the mirror using our specialist finishing processes.
