Anti Reflective Glass

Anti Reflective

Glass

Anti-Reflective glass offers an ultra-clear, non-reflective glass surface even when there are high levels of light on either side of the glass installations.

Made from low iron glass, the annealed glass is dipped in different metal oxide solutions to create coatings on both faces of the glass. Once coated the glass is heated at 450C to 500C creating a glass coating interface that helps prevent reflections and creates an anti-reflective glass surface with as little as 1% residual reflection.

Once coated and burned the anti-reflective glass can be toughened, laminated, cut, bent, drilled and produced into insulated glass units.

The anti-reflective glass coating is highly durable, resisting scratches and chemicals making the surface extremely easy to maintain and clean.

When tempered the anti-reflective glass maintains the 1% reflectance and a 98% light transmission. These anti-reflective surfaces are perfect for shop fronts, car showrooms and listed buildings where minimal disruption to the building appearance is required.

Various other specialist glass finishes can be applied to the anti-reflective glass such as a solar control coating whilst maintaining a low light reflectance factor. The anti-reflective glass can also be laminated with a PVB or Sentry Interlayer achieving a light reflectance of 1% and a light transmission of 97%.
